British members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (A.P.D.T) have recognised the potential this new activity can bring to ordinary pet owners and are now actively promoting Rally Obedience up and down the country. It is an opportunity to test your handling skills by linking obedience movements such as heelwork, stays and recall into pre-set courses at a faster pace but without the intense accuracy traditional competition obedience demands.

This new, exciting sport brings a different perspective in training the handler to have a dog that is focused and motivated. Rally Obedience is purposely aimed at dogs and their owners who already have basic obedience skills but want to progress further – and still keep the word “FUN” first and foremost in their training class!

On or off lead, “Rally Obedience” includes any size, age or disability of dog or handler – all can participate. Indeed, it is an excellent opportunity to enjoy learning together while guaranteeing stimulating exercise physically and mentally. Remember, your dog loves to learn – it keeps him alert, focused and enjoying “quality” time with you.
